A Long Weekend in Paris
A Weekend in Vibrant Valencia
It had been many years since I was last in Paris, so much so I couldn’t remember anything about it (I was a child and was camping and visiting Disneyland with family). But, it was basically on my doorstep living in London and I wanted to also experience the Eurostar. I’ve loved trains all my life and I think it’ the best way to go from place to place.
Top food & Drink Tips for your London weekend
Continuing with my exploration of Spain I decided on a trip from Madrid to the nearest coastal city, Valencia. I’d been to Barcelona in the past and loved it, but I didn't know much about Valencia, a city some 350km south of the Catalonian capital.
A Weekend Break in Seville
London is a city very close to my heart, having lived there for six years until very recently. It’s a massive place and quite hard to navigate if you’re new to the city and, with so much on offer, it’s easy to miss the ‘hidden’ food gems in favour of the tried and tasted tourist-favourites.
Pottering Around Porto
When I was based in London I loved to do weekend trips to nearby places. Cambridge, Brighton and St. Albans were just a few of the great places that I went to. Now, having moved to Madrid, i’m getting to experience a whole new culture and some fascinating cities.
My only memory of Portugal before this visit was a fairly distant one. I went to the Algarve after University for some ‘real’ sun and, well, because i’m English and that’s where we go. The beaches and scenery were beautiful, but I didn’t really experience any Portuguese culture. Having moved to Madrid in the summer of 2018 I was in a much better location to explore parts of Europe for brief weekend visits.
