A Weekend in Vibrant Valencia
Top food & Drink Tips for your London weekend
Continuing with my exploration of Spain I decided on a trip from Madrid to the nearest coastal city, Valencia. I’d been to Barcelona in the past and loved it, but I didn't know much about Valencia, a city some 350km south of the Catalonian capital.
Poland - ‘Gdansk with Me’ - BY SAMANTHA OWEN-STODDART
London is a city very close to my heart, having lived there for six years until very recently. It’s a massive place and quite hard to navigate if you’re new to the city and, with so much on offer, it’s easy to miss the ‘hidden’ food gems in favour of the tried and tasted tourist-favourites.
‘Red City Restaurants’- Marrakech - by Samantha Owen-Stoddart
Over the last May Bank Holiday weekend I took a trip to Gdansk, with my mum. Gdansk is a port city on the Baltic coast of Poland. We always plan one or two girls trips throughout the year, mainly to spend some quality mum and daughter time together and live out both of our passions, you guessed it travel! As I have said before my mum and dad instilled the need to travel and learn from other cultures into to me from being small. I am so thankful that they did so. My mum is a lovely lady, so kind and caring. Even though I am 35 soon, she would tell you if she met you I was still her little girl and always will be.. She is not only mum, she’s my best friend. So who better to experience Gdansk with!!
Tipping in Kenya
Each time I visit the Red City I like to try new restaurants. With hundreds of restaurants to choose from in Marrakech you are always spoilt for choice! Sometimes I plan where I would like to eat, to avoid the disappointment of not getting a table and others times it is by other people’s recommendations or sheer spontaneity of seeing somewhere.
Kenya is one of the most visited countries in the continent of Africa. With its beautiful Indian-Ocean coastline, lakes, savannah grasslands, valleys and highlands it has a lot to offer tourists. Not to mention its bustling capital city, Nairobi. Its climate and exotic wildlife means there is a big market for tourism across the country with locals offering a great insight into their country.
